Privacy Policy

Who we are

Proline Garage Doors is a garage door company based in Calgary, Alberta. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Proline Garage Doors. If you have any question about your personal information, contact us at Prolinedoorsyyc@gmail.com or (403) 993-8727.

What we collect

When you request a quote on our website, we collect what you type into the form:

• Your name and phone number
• Your email address, if you give it
• Your area of Calgary, the service you need and how urgent it is
• Your street address, if you give it
• Anything you tell us about your door in the message box

When you call or email us, we keep the details you share so we can help you.

When you browse our website, we use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, for example which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are (city level), what device and browser they use, and how they found us. This is collected using cookies and doesn’t include your name or contact details. See Cookies and analytics below.

Why we use it

• To prepare your quote and contact you about it
• To schedule, carry out and follow up on your job, including warranty work
• To keep accurate business, tax and warranty records
• To improve our website, using analytics information that doesn’t identify you

We don’t use your details for anything else without asking you first, and we don’t add you to marketing lists.

Who can see it

Your information is only seen by Proline Garage Doors employees. It’s kept in our private business email accounts, including our Gmail address.

We never sell your personal information, and we never share it with anyone else without your permission. The only exception would be if the law required us to disclose it.

Service providers and storage outside Canada

We use a few trusted providers to run our website and email:

• Hostinger, which hosts our website and sends the quote form to our inbox
• Google, which provides our Gmail inbox, Google Analytics and the fonts used on this site

These companies may store or process information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. While it’s there, it may be subject to the laws of that country and accessible to its authorities. If you’d like to know more about how these providers handle your information, contact us using the details above.

How long we keep it

We keep copies of quote requests and emails for up to 7 years, so we can support warranty claims, answer questions about past work and meet our record-keeping obligations. After that, we delete them.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files your browser stores. Our website doesn’t use cookies of its own. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell new visitors from returning ones and to measure how the site is used.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The website works fine either way.

How we protect it

Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and the quote form is sent to us through a secure, password-protected mailbox. Our email accounts are private and only our employees can access them.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything that’s wrong
• Delete your information, unless we have to keep it for legal or warranty reasons
• Stop using your information for a purpose you previously agreed to

Just email or call us. We’ll respond within 30 days.

If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top.
